Pieces are intentionally crafted from quality ethically sourced gemstones, and recycled and fair-mined metals in partnership with trusted suppliers who share the studio’s commitment to quality and craft.
the artist
Andréa Banks is a Chicago-based jewelry designer, metalsmith, and storyteller. Born in Dallas she eventually landed in Chicago – for a career in the non-profit sector, she then took a metalsmithing class and something clicked.
That class became a practice, that practice led her to build a home studio, and the studio became Banks Designs: a Chicago Jewelry brand built around the conviction that what you wear should mean something.
Every piece in the Banks Designs line begins as a sketch. Every stone is chosen; every collection is named, storied, and intentioned by Andréa.
